A young girl seeks fame at any cost, and her life and psyche are irrevocably destroyed. A famous man feels betrayed and disenchanted with his public life and finds unhealthy outlets to deal with his frustrations. A famous woman puts her career first, neglects her son, and loses touch with her ability to nurture and parent. Her son, unloved and feeling like an outcast, falls into a deep depression and takes his own life. This is the story of Chekhov’s masterpiece The Seagull, one of the most classic and utterly contemporary plays in modern drama — which still rings true 115 years after it was first performed. This production will be modernized and staged on the set of a reality TV show,  illuminating and examining the effects that fame has on the human psyche and exploring the veiled parts of the human spirit .
